WEATHERFORFD (1080 KRLD) - After a one-year hiatus, a Parker County staple is back.
A big crowd is expected in downtown Weatherford Saturday for the Parker County Peach Festival.
"We are just so excited to welcome folks to historic downtown Weatherford," says Tammy Gozzola, Weatherford Chamber of Commerce president.
The Peach Festival was cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Having to skip last year was very hard, but we're excited to have folks back," says Gozzola. "We've had a great turnout from our vendors. We're seeing that folks are ready to get back to business."
There will be more than 200 vendors on site, and they will be arranged a little differently this year compared to years past.
"We have expanded our footprint by about 25%," says Gozzola. "In the past, our booths have all been side by side, and we have spread that out where there's room between each of the booths."
Also, all ticketing is done online this year.
The Parker County Peach Festival takes place in downtown Weatherford Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 5-12, and free for kids under five.
