Ahead of Mother's Day, a Fort Worth non-profit made quite a night for single moms and their sons who gathered at Cafe Republic in Fort Worth for a dress-up date night out.

HOPE Farm works with at-risk boys from single mother homes to help them have male leadership in their lives.

The banquet was hosted by Cafe Republic which is owned by Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Pollozani who recruited law enforcement officers from other police agencies to act as servers for the boys and their moms.

Pollozani tells NBCDFW, "it’s an honor for these officers to be here to actually have that opportunity to serve these kids and have a lasting effect on these kids."

HOPE Farm made sure boys had blazers and ties to look spiffy for their big night.
