Police in Saginaw say a teen is in hot water for something called "swatting".

The International leadership of Texas charter school was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning when a student called the school claiming to be a parent. He told the resource officer his son had stolen his rifle and was heading to the school.

Police were called and eventually made contact with the teen who called, and determined it was nothing more than a prank.

Police say "swatting" involves making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to get a large number of officers at an address.

Charges could be forthcoming.
