Arlington police are trying to find the driver who fatally struck a 21-year-old DeSoto woman early Sunday and left the scene of the crash.
The incident happened early Sunday morning along the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Matlock Road, Arlington police said.
Police said witnesses told them they saw a pick-up truck driving all over the road and onto the shoulder before the crash.
Investigators said the victim, Areauna Laws, had car trouble, pulled over, and was standing outside when the truck hit her and her car.
Police said the driver didn't stop and even crossed over the grassy median on the I-20 frontage road.
Police said they found that truck abandoned in a shopping center parking lot nearby and now they're working to find the driver.
