Frightening story out of Rockwall where police say someone tried to kidnap a 10-year-old girl Friday afternoon.
Police say it was around 12:30 when the girl got off the bus, and was walking home along West Yellow Jacket Lane.
Several witnesses saw a man grab her by the backpack. She was able to escape and one of the witnesses followed the man while someone else called the police.
When officers got there they found and arrested 21-year-old Brian Calder. He was transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center and is now behind bars charged with attempted kidnapping.
