Roger Staubach will introduce Drew Pearson at #88's Hall of Fame induction

It will be one Dallas Cowboys legend introducing another as former Cowboys QB Roger Staubach has been selected to announce Drew Pearson when Pearson is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer.

In a radio interview, Pearson said, were they alive, he might have asked Tom Landry or Harvey Martin.

But Pearson and Staubach, who's already in the Hall, have a long history together.

The two were Cowboys teammates for seven seasons until Staubach retired after the 1979 campaign.

And in the minds of most Dallas Cowboys fans they are intertwined as the thrower and catcher of the original "Hail Mary" pass in the December 1975 Divisional Round playoff game where the Cowboys beat the Minnesota Vikings.

After Pearson caught the pass for the winning touchdown, Staubach said simply he threw the football and "closed my eyes and said a Hail Mary."
