Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has retained the 14th position on the annual U.S. News & World Report listing of best hospitals.  The recognition identifies Roswell as one of the top cancer hospitals in the country.

“The criteria change every year, so we're just thrilled we're back in the elite centers and to be #14,” says Roswell Park President and CEO Candace S. Johnson.

Roswell Park earned special recognition once again as a high-performing center in two subspecialty areas — colon cancer surgery and lung cancer surgery — and received the top possible scores in categories including patient survival, patient experience, patients going home after hospitalization and advanced technologies.

We're proud to announce that Roswell Park has once again been ranked the 14th Best Hospital for Cancer in the nation, out of nearly 900 cancer centers, by @usnews! pic.twitter.com/L0UHkfHBFd
