After a night of heavy weather across North Texas, the storm system has now passed into east Texas and Louisiana.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued along the line of storms and much of the North Texas area. Small hail the size dimes, nickels and quarters was reported in several areas. The main threat was potentially damaging winds.

Behind the front, cooler temperatures arrived with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
Damage reports have been minimal although a Plano house fire may be due to a lightning strike. The home on Harrington Drive was heavily damaged but no injuries were reported.
At one point, Oncor was reporting about 10,000 power outages but that number fell through the night as their crews made repairs.
Because of the heavy rain, as much as two inches in some places, there are reports of high water this morning.
For example, just before 5 a.m. Roanoke police reported Byron Nelson Boulevard was closed from Cannon Parkway to North Oak Street because the water was covering the street.
