With COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations on the rise, Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley has some strong words of advice.
"If you're not feeling good, get tested," Judge Whitley said during Commissioners Court on Tuesday.
Tarrant County Public Health is offering free testing Mondays through Fridays at various locations throughout the county.
"We talked about having a mobile testing plan," says Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja. "That's been started."
Testing will be offered every weekday from 8:00 a.m. to noon, with an additional window of 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The schedule will repeat indefinitely, and more sites and times may be added as needed.
"If there's demand, we'll look at other options," says Taneja. "But if there's not demand, then this will be plan. It will be a rotation at precinct sites."
Results should be available within three days.
