The Texas Supreme Court says the family of an exotic dancer killed in a drunk driving car accident cannot take her eomplyer, Baby Dolls gentlemen's club, to trial.

In January of 2019, exotic dancer Stephanie Hernandez was killed in a high speed car accident at I-35E and Royal Lane in Dallas. She was a passenger in a Range Rover driven by another exotic dancer, Mayra Salazar of Greenville.
Police say Salazar was drunk, and Hernandez's family says the employer of both women, Baby Dolls, overserved Salazar alcohol on the night of the wreck.
The Hernandez family wanted to take Baby Dolls to trial and let a jury decide damages. But attorney's for Baby Dolls argued in court that both women were employees and both had signed agreements that an arbitrator, not a jury, would decide any dispute.
In its ruling today the Texas Supreme Court said that arbitration agreement applies here, even in the case of a fatal car accident. So an arbitrator will now decide what Baby Dolls should pay.
Salazar is still facing an intoxication manslaughter charge that is set for trial next month.
