Tarrant County jurors needed just one hour of deliberation to find a man guilty for his role in the death of a Fort Worth Police officer almost four years ago.
Fort Worth Police officer Garrett Hull was killed in 2018 when he was responding to a robbery. Fort Worth Police say three men were attempting to rob a bar. They say one of those men shot and killed Hull, with officers returning fire and killing him. Suspect Timothy Huff is on trial for capital murder.
Prosecutors argued even though Huff did not pull the trigger, he's still responsible for Hull's death.
The start of his trial was delayed when Huff swalled a razor blade, and then delayed again last week when a lawyer got sick.
The case went to the jury Monday morning. They quickly returned a guilty verdict in less than an hour.
The punishment phase is underway and Huff could face the death penatly.
