Thousands of volunteers will be needed across 16 host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — including more than 6,000 in North Texas.

Applications officially opened Monday and will remain open through October. Those interested can currently fill out an online interest form to get in the virtual line.

"Volunteers are the backbone of every major sporting event we host in Dallas," the Dallas Sports Commission's FIFA website reads. "The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ will bring the world to our city and we want our famous Texas Hospitality on full display."

Volunteer offers will be sent between January and February 2026.

To be eligible, you must:

Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.

Speak English, additional languages are a plus!

Commit to eight shifts and be available for the duration of the tournament, including pre-event training sessions.

You must comply with the entry requirements of the host country.

Attend an in-person group recruitment event & complete applicable training.

Agree to and pass a name check and background information review.

Volunteers in North Texas will help with a range of roles, including media assistance and fan festivities. Selected participants will receive an official FIFA World Cup uniform, meals and refreshments during shifts, a recognition package, and access to skills-based learning opportunities.
