TxDot has announced a Traffic Alert in Hutchins due to continued emergency bridge repairs at the I-20/I-45 interchange that will significantly affect weekend traffic.
Westbound I-20 will continue to be reduced to just the left center lane as it has been all week and SB I-45 at I-20 ALL LANES WILL BE CLOSED from 9 pm on Friday through 6 am on Monday, September 21st, traffic will be diverted through a signed detour.
There is hope that on Monday after 6 am that additional lanes will be open on Westbound I-20 but significant delays can be expected at this interchange, and drivers are urged to continue avoiding the area and to seek an alternate route.
