One woman is dead and another is in the hospital after they were shot in Cedar Hill Monday night.
Just before 10:30 p.m. police reported a 9-1-1 call that sent them to a home on Neptune Street near Parkerville and South Chalk Road.
Police say two women were found shot and one of them was dead on-scene. The other was rushed to the hospital. Before she was transported, she was able to tell police something about what happened including a description of a vehicle.
Police found the suspect vehicle and tried to pull it over but the driver sped off, leading a chase into Dallas but it ended nearly 30 miles away on Northwest Highway near Love Field.
The unidentified driver pulled into a gas station where he was arrested and taken back to Cedar Hill Police headquarters for questioning.
Police believe this is a case of domestic violence.
