A woman is going to prison for decades for murdering a driver in a 2018 road rage shooting in Haltom City.
Tarrant County prosecutors convicted Lyneisha McCuin and she's now been sentenced to 35 years.
Police said McCuin was a passenger in an SUV when she shot Claudia Sanchez who was apparently simply riding as a passenger in another vehicle.
Haltom City PD says Sanchez was in a car with a friend near Stanley Keller Road and Roxie Street when the friend got into an argument with McCuin and the driver of the SUV.
The friend allegedly threw a tire lugnut at the passenger inside that SUV who, again, was McCuin. Police say McCuin then pulled out a gun and fired.
The bullet hit and killed Sanchez, a mother of three, even though she was not part of the quarrel.
