A "suspicious package" that arrived at a Georgia woman's clinic prompted a massive response by police, who shut down surrounding roads and brought in a bomb squad -- only to discover the package was a "bag of baby supplies."
The scare began at about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday when a worker at the Women's Clinic of Atlanta in Johns Creek -- which provides pre-abortion screenings and post-abortion exams -- found the package outside one of the facility's doors, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Several roads around the clinic were closed and the building was locked down as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation bomb squad responded to the scene.
Around noon, police gave the "all clear" after discovering what was in the package: diapers and a few baby toys.
"It appears to be a bag of baby supplies someone forgot," Johns Creek Police Department wrote on Twitter.
The incident follows several recent reports of vandalism at pregnancy centers around the U.S. in wake of the Supreme Court's decision to end constitutional protections for abortion under Roe V. Wade.
Clinics in Virginia, Michigan and Florida have been spray painted with graffiti, while a fire at a center in Colorado is being investigated as possible arson.
