Amazon picks Texas A&M to test drone delivery

The program is expected to begin later this year

Anytime someone orders something to be delivered to them, they want to receive it as fast as possible. Whether its food, supplies or even a t-shirt ordered online, people want their items quickly. That’s why drone delivery is becoming more and more popular as companies around the country begin testing out the new service. Now, the latest to join the drone delivery movement is Amazon, as they recently announced they will begin testing their drone program at Texas A&M University later this year.

Amazon is already known for their speedy deliveries, but it may soon be even faster. The company will begin testing out their new its state-of-the art Prime Air drone delivery, and have already begun reaching out to College Station customers to inform them of the new service. According to Dallas Culture Map, Amazon will provide the largest selection of items to ever be available for drone delivery.

“The innovative research conducted by Texas A&M University, the small-town feel, and the sense of community that is clear from the minute you arrive in town all make it a very special place,” said Amazon. Along with College Station, the drone delivery program will also be tested in Lockeford, California. Soon 2 day shipping will seem like an eternity to wait for.
