Fans of rapper Travis Scott who attended the Friday night concert have returned to the AstroWorld concert venue, days after the tragic crowd surge left eight dead and hundreds injured.

Some are returning to pay respects. 15 year old Diego Perez brought flowers to mourn for those who did not make it out alive. Others were allowed in to look for lost items caused by the crush of bodies. Veronica Vexsler was unable to find her cell phone.

Here in North Texas, the family of a man killed says he died while saving his fiancé from being crushed.

Authorities are expected to release more information on the victims this morning.

Meanwhile, police continue to look into the incident. The Houston Police chief says they've opened a criminal investigation after a security officer told them he felt a prick in his neck during the chaos and lost consciousness.

Reports say he was revived by the opioid antidote Narcan.

Chief Troy Finner says other people were also injected and that may have been to blame for the pandemonium. He was unable to say how many were injected.

Houston Mayor Sylvester turner says they'll "leave no stone unturned."
