Over the weekend, social media was alive with videos of a kangaroo hopping down the road in Hidalgo County.
The Sheriff's Office began getting calls and deputies spread out to look. Sure enough, they found the marsupial still hopping along.
They detained him and returned him to his owner on a ranch about two miles outside Mercedes. They're still not sure how he got loose.
