Josh Weathers is raising money for nonprofits helping victims of flash flooding in the Texas Hill Country. Weathers lives in Fort Worth and played a show on Facebook Live Monday night amid an auction to raise money.

"We're going to play this for all the families that have been affected," Weathers said during the show. "So much trauma, so much anxiety right now for folks especially down in the Hill Country."

Weathers played his own music, including "Big Night in the City." He also played work by other artists including "Neon Moon" and "Luckenbach, Texas."

"That's the whole purpose of this evening. I hope you're entertained, but mostly, I hope you feel a generous spirit welling up inside of you," Weathers said.

He started with a goal of raising $150,000. Weathers said he, his band and production staff would not take any money for the show. The money would go to nonprofits working with flood victims.

Among items auctioned were Dallas Cowboys tickets, vacations, hunting trips and even a calf. At the end of the four hour show, the event had raised $335,398.

"Praise the Lord. I hope that makes the news. Some folks just said, 'You know what? We're just going to do this. We're going to put something together.' People just came together this evening. Thank you so much."

Online auctions continue through Tuesday evening.
