Plano, Austin and Irving are in the top 50 of the Most Caring Cities compiled by the personal finance company Wallethub.
In the rankings, Plano comes in 17th, Austin is 46th and Irving is rated 48th.
WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 38 key indicators of a compassionate spirit ranging from the share of sheltered homeless persons to the volunteering hours per capita to the share of income donated to charity.
The indicators were organized into three categories including:
1) Caring for the Community
2) Caring for the Vulnerable
3) Caring in the Workforce.
Other North Texas cities making the top 100 include Garland, Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas.
