When it comes to the so-called Seven Deadly Sins, Texas is very near the top of the naughty list.

A new Wallethub report puts Texas at No. 3 on its list of the nation's most "sinful states." In the survey, Wallethub's experts compared the 50 states based on seven sinful behaviors: anger & hatred, excesses and vices, greed, jealousy, laziness, lust and vanity.

Texas ranked first - or worst - for lust.  For vanity, the Lone Star State came in sixth.  The state's ranking in the other categories:

Anger & Hatred: 30th
Excesses & Vices: 37th
Greed: 29th
Jealousy: 12th
Laziness: 24th

Nevada and California were the only two states considered more sinful than Texas.  Idaho ranked as the least-sinful state in the nation.
