Much of west Texas remains under Red Flag Warnings for fire danger today.

The wind-whipped 2,800 acre Solar Park wildfire in Jeff Davis County is only 10 percent contained.

With the winds, Texas wildfire danger today ranges from high-to-very high-to-extreme from McLennan County to El Paso and from the Panhandle down to the Big Bend.

Meanwhile, almost all the power is back on in West Texas near El Paso. After Sunday's storms, El Paso Electric had nearly 40,000 customers in the dark. Many were not restored until last night.

The winds did so much damage that El Paso's famous Star on the Mountain will stay dark until further notice.
