While each of the floats in the Tournament of Roses Parade on Monday contained special themes and messages, one was about paying tribute.
OneLegacy’s Donate Life Rose Parade Floats featured floral portraits memorializing 34 deceased donors.

Enrique Rivas was one of the donors memorialized on the float. His mother, Maria, told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian that her son became an organ donor when he was 20 years old.
“He was 22 when he passed away,” she said. “He impacted five lives.”
Maria, who worked on the float with her family, said coffee grains, bread crumbs, and rice were used to create the photo.
“It's like a legacy,” she said.
She added that when the float is taken apart, she would be able to take home her son’s portrait.
The float will be on display at Floatfest through the end of the day Tuesday. For more information on Floatfest, click here.
