The 61st Annual LA County Holiday Celebration is being broadcast and streamed online this year due to the pandemic.

All of the performances have been pre-recorded which allows for some unique backdrops.


"To show off some beautiful places in our county such as the Korean Bell of Friendship in San Pedro and Angels Point in Elysian Park," says Josephine Ramirez, executive VP of The Music Center Arts.

She says it is a uniquely LA experience with a little bit of everything from Folklorico dance to Gospel choir to jazz – the purpose of which is to inspire joy and hope. She says the “Silent Night” finale – done every year – will be extra special this time around

"The finale that we do every year, we do a "Silent Night" finale. It really nails that intention. And this year, since we are doing it virtually, we created a virtual choir where the musicians and singers and dancers perform together as one community in that number. I think it reminds us of how strong and resilient we are together especially during this particularly tough moment," she says.

If you can’t catch it Thursday, there will be an encore broadcast at noon on Christmas Day.
