For the first time in months, gas prices in Los Angeles County have topped $5 per gallon.
As of Friday, the current average is $5.009 in Los Angeles County while the average in California is $4.96, according to AAA. The average price in Orange County is $4.963
"Gas prices are likely to continue trending upward this spring as in prior years," Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager, told City News Service.
One driver told KNX News’ Jon Baird he pays between $90 to $120 to fill up his truck.
“We don’t have another choice any way,” he said.
Another driver told KNX News’ Jon Baird that when it comes to high gas prices, he doesn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel.
“I just hope for the best,” he said.
