A man was shot during an altercation on a Hollywood street early Thursday.
The victim, in his 30s, was walking on Lexington Avenue near Cherokee Avenue around 4:15 a.m. Thursday when he was approached by three men, one of whom had a handgun and shot the man, according to Officer David Cuellar of the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, Cuellar said.
The suspects fled in a vehicle, Cuellar said.
A motive for the shooting was unclear.
