California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the death of a 60-year-old man on northbound Interstate 5 at Broadway early Thursday morning.
The man was hit and killed by the driver of a semi-truck around 2:23 a.m, as he walked in the number four lane of traffic, CHP said.
Investigators said the man, who’s name has not been released, died of his injuries at the scene.
CHP said the 58-year-old driver of the semi-truck fully cooperated and stayed on the interstate until emergency personnel arrived. He has not been arrested.
