Sporting an electric guitar instead of his trademarked acoustic, Sheeran took the stage to kick off the 2022 BRIT Awards with his single "Bad Habits," from his latest album, = (Equals). But a little over a minute in, rockers Bring Me The Horizon punched up the performance to another level with a full band breakdown.

Fully immersing himself in the experience with a rockstar pose, Ed also gave BMTH singer Oliver Sykes some time to showcase his Screamo chops during the second verse, showing fans a whole other side of the danceable hit single while Ed strummed along.

Sheeran performed again later in the evening and was nominated for a number of awards during this year's ceremony. Ultimately, he took home the coveted Songwriter of the Year award. See a full list of winners right here.

Additionally, while walking the red carpet, Sheeran told LADbible that his next single would arrive on Friday, February 11, "and it’s with Taylor Swift... We’re literally announcing that in like an hour,” Sheeran added with a smile.

That announcement arrived with a social post from Sheeran, saying the collaborative track with his friend Taylor, called "The Joker And The Queen," is indeed on the way as the fourth official single from Sheeran's = (Equals), following "Bad Habits," "Shivers," and "Overpass Graffiti." Sheeran and Swift's last recorded collab was on the track "Run," from Red (Taylor’s Version).
