The arrival of Posty’s newest track is his first piece of solo material since the release of his 2019 album, Hollywood’s Bleeding.
Alongside the new song, the “Sunflowers” singer also dropped a new music video for “Motley Crew,” which features some star-studded cameos. Directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, the new visual piece boasts appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, Big Sean, Bubba Wallace, Denny Hamlin, and Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee.
Before releasing the video on Friday, July 9, Malone shared a teaser for the visual piece filled with bougie NASCAR-centred visuals.
There is speculation about whether the track will appear on a new Posty album, but the artist has been dropping hints for a while now that a new project will be arriving sometime in 2021.
Malone’s manager, Dre London first teased the arrival of “Motley Crew,” on social media earlier this year. London has also hinted that Post has two albums that could arrive this year. In a post, London wrote, “This that smile while on FaceTime with @postmalone agreeing that the world deserves 2 Posty projects out this year.”
“Discussing dates to drop the 1st one sooner than u think! I won’t tell u the title name just yet maybe next week.”
