ENTER 2020.
We knew it wasn't going to be normal. But was it going to be pandemic-quarantine? Somewhere in between?
I guess you could say it was a mixture of both.
I stayed home, and I am a DJ. So no, it wasn't normal for me at all. I was more towards the pandemic-isolation/ better-safe-than-sorry mode.
Others, more towards normal, I guess. At least that's what the video shows. The news shows large crowds that look like normal pre-pandemic club nights in Sac. Social distancing didn't seem to be enforced. Masks weren't shown being worn. Basically, pandemic protocol seemed to be out the window - which is THE CONCERN.
What legitimizes the concerns though is that this does look a lot like Memorial Day - where we thought we were doing well with COVID-19 numbers and opened up a bit, then shut back down two weeks later because of spikes. Not saying that will be the case, nor that it won't.
Just gonna have to wait a few weeks to see if it's trick or treat.
