Of the 5 senses, Americans say they would miss their eyesight the most if they were to lose it. And the number of people who are blind or visually impaired is expected to double in the U.S. to eight million by 2050. However, losing your vision does not mean giving up on the things you love to do. For over a century, the Braille Institute has been helping those with vision loss lead productive, independent, and fulfilling lives.

Jay Hatfield, Regional Director for the Braille Institute San Diego Center, discusses their most popular programs and services and invites us to the open house they'll be holding on Wednesday, June 28th from 10am to 1pm.
