Tyler Rich is enjoying a career as one of country music's up and coming stars, but there was a moment when he thought he might settle down in his hometown of Yuba City, CA (just outside of Sacramento) and work a "normal" job.
“I always knew I was meant to play music," he admits in a statement from his label. "There’s no question. But the only time I ever felt like I was gonna stop and do the 9 to 5 route, and the back home small-town life where I was raised, is because of love.
"People that are raised to believe – which there’s nothing wrong with that at all – to believe that that’s the way life is supposed to be," he continues. "It makes perfect sense, and it’s hard to date somebody that doesn’t feel that way, and somebody that wants to be on the road touring and playing music.
"And when you wanna chase that girl that doesn’t want that lifestyle, it makes you question what you want the most.”
Tyler's now married to a different girl - his wife actress Sabina Galecki - and splits his time between their home in Los Angeles and Nashville.
