Somebody tell Dwight Schrute to get his bullhorn out. We've got big news!

In its ongoing quest to make everything awesome, snap-together toy giant LEGO took to Twitter to announce a pairing you never knew you needed – a new LEGO set based on the classic workplace sitcom, “The Office.”

The Twitter clip starts with a zoom in on the whole, incredibly detailed set of the Scranton Branch office of Dunder-Mifflin, featuring the three rooms where most of the classic show’s action took place – Michael Scott’s office, the conference room, and the main cubicle office.
Then you get glimpses of the 15 famous cast members in their LEGO forms, featuring fan-obsessed details like Scott’s “World’s Best Boss” mug, the Jell-O mold with the stapler in it, and even one of Angela’s cats.
An official release date has not yet been announced.
LEGOs have long existed not only in the kids-only zone, releasing pop culture reference-drenched movie and increasingly inventive LEGO sets. This beloved sitcom set follows the success of the equally detail-oriented and hilarious “Friends” and “Seinfeld” sets from 2021.
In fact, as Collider reported, this set has been in the works for years. It's the brainchild of designer, Technical Account Manager at Salesforce, and enormous “The Office” fan, JaiJai Lewis.
He first cooked up the idea in 2014. LEGO Ideas – an extension created for LEGO masters to pitch ideas for future sets – got wind of Lewis' plan and contacted him to get the gears spinning, or blocks snapping, as it were.
Lewis said that he’s loved LEGOs ever since his dad bought him his first set as a child.
"There were about 60 parts in this little red plastic briefcase I would carry around everywhere because I loved it,” said Lewis. “My little sister and I would spend hours creating worlds."
It was in 2020 when Lewis finally exposed his idea to the world, and over 10,000 LEGO fans and reportedly even some of The Office” cast and crew lobbied for the set happen.
The Office – an American version of the British original – ran from 2005-2013 on NBC, and has since only grown its popularity via terrestrial repeats and streaming.
Maybe next LEGO can go even more vintage sitcom and do a “Munsters” tie-in with the upcoming Rob Zombie reboot?
