The Padres came from behind three separate times to earn a wild win in walk-off fashion against the Rockies 8-7 on Tuesday evening. The Padres fell behind 4-2 in the 3rd inning, but plated runs in the 5th and 6th innings to tie the game at 4. Ezequiel Tovar and Mickey Moniak both hit RBI-doubles against Bradgley Rodriguez in the top of the 7th inning. The Padres immediately responded with 2 runs of their own thanks to shoddy defense from the Rockies. After an error from Xander Bogaerts on what should have been an inning-ending groundout, Adrian Morejon walked in a run with the bases loaded, allowing Colorado to retake the lead. In the bottom of the 8th, Manny Machado drove in Jake Cronenworth with the aid of another error by the Rockies to tie the game at 7. After Jackson Merrill led off the bottom of the 9th inning with a single, he attempted to steal second base and was able to advance to third on Hunter Goodman's errant throw into the center field. Luis Rengifo and Sung-Mun Song each drew walks to load the bases with no outs for Xander Bogaerts, who drove in Merrill with a sac-fly to center field to put the Padres one game over .500 after one of the wildest games of the season.
