Flashpoint Extra: Entercom Serves program benefits Philly parks, veterans, civic education

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In this special edition of the Flashpoint podcast, host and KYW Newsradio community affairs reporter Cherri Gregg asks the burning questions about the Entercom Serves program.

Entercom, KYW Newsradio's parent company, celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters at 2400 Market Street last week. As part of the celebration, Flashpoint focused in on three of the company's five pillars of community impact: sustainability, veterans and service members, and civic education.

First up, Entercom partnered with Fairmount Park Conservancy this summer, bringing 200 employees to clean up Lemon Hill. Meg Holscher, senior development director, and Sara Hirshler, membership manager, discuss Philly's parks, the vision for sustainability, and the many events coming up this fall.

Cristella and Sautner lay out the many events coming up at both organizations this fall.

Flashpoint airs every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on KYW Newsradio 1060AM. It also airs at 5 a.m. Sundays on B101FM and WPHP 1210AM, and at 6 a.m. on WOGL 98.1 and TDY 96.5.
