General manager Howie Roseman said he made a list of what he wanted in players after the team’s playoff loss in January.
“I have this list that I shared with coach Pederson. I walked into his office the day after the season ended. There are three things there: Can he run? Is he healthy? Does he love to play?” Roseman said.
“With this pandemic right now, it’s made us as coaches be more involved by picking up the phone and for me, calling their head coaches, calling their position coaches,” he said.
Three of the Eagles’ selections were wide receivers with speed. They also went with a local product on defense, drafting Temple linebacker Shaun Bradley in the sixth round.
“I was in complete shock. I couldn’t even cry at first, I was just upstairs screaming. All the tears came out and my family was cheering. It was just a great feeling,” Bradley said.
Bradley was one of four defensive players chosen in a draft in which the Eagles took six players on the offensive side of the ball.
