PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) After three months of pickup and delivery only, Philadelphia breweries are now allowed to offer outdoor table service. But with limited space available on city streets, businesses are looking into partnerships and parking lots.

The patio at Yards Brewing Company in Northern Liberties will be open for beer and food starting Friday.

"We have a sidewalk café permit, so we are allowed to have seating on the sidewalk, but with the amount of space out there, there is only room for four. So four tables, four people each, and right now, we will be doing it first come first serve,” explained Melissa Walter, who owns the place with her husband.

McLaughlin says with limited outdoor space, city breweries are brainstorming for ways their businesses can together and give customers what they want in the safest way possible. So they’re working with Triple Bottom Brewing, Roy-Pitz Barrel House and Love City Brewing.

“And we are talking with them about a possible group beer garden next to Love City. So there are a lot of things that we are working on to make people feel a little safer,” McLaughlin said.

Breweries will continue pick up and delivery service during the outdoor table service.
