MANTUA, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — It's Halloween, but not everywhere. Some kids will have to wait until Friday to go trick-or-treating.

Ocean City, Hammonton, and Mantua are just a few of the towns in the region that changed the trick-or-treat plans. Officials are trying to dodge the rain. Parents we spoke with don't really seem to mind, and they don't think it will take away from the fun that Halloween brings.

"I'm fine with it," Lisa Septini said. "My kids seem to be fine with it. I'd rather them be out in good weather than, you know, in this stuff."

"I was actually thinking about why it didn't get moved when we were kids, and I think the Internet helped everything," a parent named Robin said. "Because you have the internet, because you have email, you are able to move everything easily. But back then, we didn't have all that, and we had to keep everything as is."

It looks like it will be mostly dry with temperatures in the 70s for a few hours after school and before the heavy rain and thunderstorms arrive later. So maybe, kids can double dip and head over to a town nearby for trick-or-treating on back to back nights.
