Chris Hershberger-Esh says he's spent hours combing through Reddit, Facebook and Twitter trying to find what protests and rallies were right for him to support.
With so many actions currently scheduled, it's a time-consuming process that can be difficult to maneuver.
"I realized there's a lot of people who would attend these events, but simply don't know how to find them," he said.
To aggregate information on all the rallies in the region into one hub, Hershberger-Esh created phillyprotest.com.
"The first five days, it got like 30,000 page views, 10,000 different users, so it kind of took off on its own. It was very exciting," he said.
He says, as a single father of two, he's not able to make it to as many rallies as he would like. However, he has found that this project has been the best way for him to contribute to different causes.
"It's been really exciting, not only to have this resource there, but to be able to see it, and the story it tells, of all these kinds of events that are happening in the city and the suburbs."
He says he has a vetting process for including rallies on the site, which includes making sure they're legitimate, nonviolent, and aimed at making positive social change.
He's also considering adding a video stream of some sort to bring the rallies to people who may not be able to attend them.
