BUCKS COUNTY, PA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is dead after a fire tore through a home in a Bensalem trailer park Friday night.

According to Bensalem police, it happened at 5 p.m. at Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters say the home, located on lot D14, was “fully engulfed in flames” and extending to a neighboring house on lot D12. Firefighters worked to put out the fire and entered the D14 house. Inside, they found 45-year-old Joseph Stadler dead.

They say no other injuries were reported, but a preliminary investigation showed the fire started in the living room of the D14 house. The cause is not yet known.

A firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. That firefighter has since been released.

Police say the D12 house has significant damage and the D14 house is a “total loss.”

The Red Cross is helping residents displaced by the fire.
