Police: Man stabbed at 69th Street Transportation Center, suspect arrested

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A man was stabbed at the 69th Street Transportation Center Tuesday morning, authorities said. Police arrested the suspect in West Philadelphia after a nearly three-hour search.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. near the fare gates for the Market-Frankford Line.

Officials believe the suspect boarded an eastbound El train after the stabbing. Police caught up with him nearly three hours later at 51st and Arch streets and arrested him.

Neither the suspect nor the victim has been identified. The victim's condition is unknown.

Regular service on the El has resumed.
