PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police and U.S. Marshals arrested a suspect Tuesday in the shooting death of a Philadelphia sanitation worker last November in the city's Mayfair section.

Authorities apprehended 31-year-old Rasheem Trusty around 3 p.m., on the 6900 block of Frankford Avenue.

Trusty and 39-year-old Nushar J. Scott were wanted for the death of Ikeem Johnson. The 35-year-old sanitation worker was shot on Nov. 18, 2022 on Tudor Street and Rowland Avenue, near Lincoln High School.

Police say Johnson was in a sanitation truck when a man in dark clothing and a surgical mask approached the passenger side, causing it to stop. When Johnson got out of the vehicle, the masked man shot him several times, then fled the scene in a dark-colored Subaru Outback.

Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, at the time, said the shooting did not appear to be a random act.

Scott was arrested on Jan. 5 and charged with murder, conspiracy and gun offenses. Trusty has yet to be charged.
