Daniel Pierson, a 41-year-old Yardley man accused of attempted kidnapping, rape, and other offenses, was released from police custody last week Friday after his accuser admitted to filing a false report and lying to police.
In April, Bristol Township woman Anjela Borisova Urumova, 20, told police Pierson tried to rape and kidnap her in a supermarket parking lot at the Langhorne Square Shopping Center in Levittown.
Detectives soon confronted her about inconsistencies and contradictions apparent in her criminal complaint, and she admitting to making it all up. All charges against Pierson were dropped, and he was immediately released.
Urumova now faces a list of charges, including false alarm to an agency of public safety, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, making false reports (two counts), and making unsworn falsification to authorities (three counts).

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Forty-one-year-old Daniel Pierson of Yardley is in custody after police said he tried to rape and kidnap a woman in a supermarket parking lot in the Langhorne Square Shopping Center on Tuesday night.
Middletown Township police said they got a call around 8:30 p.m. to the parking lot of a Redner’s, where a woman said she was grabbed from behind by a man she didn’t know when she got out of her truck.
She said she screamed and tried to break free of the man’s grip, but he didn’t let go and pulled down her pants.
Police said the man then punched the woman in the face, causing swelling and bruising, and tried to carry her to his truck.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman kept screaming and the man eventually let her go, fled to his truck and then drove away.
She was able to provide police with a description of the truck, a dark blue, older model Ford F-150, and it was traced back to Pierson
The complaint also said Pierson was known to law enforcement for his use of methamphetamine.
He is facing numerous charges, including attempted kidnapping and rape, along with unlawful restraint and false imprisonment, and is being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of a $1,000,000 bail.
