Man found shot dead along Schuylkill River Trail in West Norriton

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in West Norriton are investigating a homicide after a man’s body was found in a wooded area adjacent to the Schuylkill River Trail.

Police responded to a call on March 3 at 9 a.m. by a bicyclist who spotted the body between the trail and the river, near the border of West Norriton Township and Norristown.

He was located down a steep embankment, about 100 feet from the trail.

The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Daquan Tucker of Audubon.

An autopsy found Tucker was shot multiple times. The coroner’s office concluded the attack was a homicide. Investigators believe Tucker knew his attacker.
