PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An elementary school in Sussex County, Delaware, will be closed all week after a fire tore through the school.
The fire started around 4 a.m. Sunday at Lulu Ross Elementary School in Milford. No students or employees were in the school at the time.
Firefighters tried to attack the flames from inside the school, but conditions got so bad that they were forced to evacuate.
Investigators said the fire originated in the Kent wing of the school, but they are still trying to pinpoint a cause.
So far, there’s no evidence of anything criminal.
