PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police say a missing 10-year-old boy who was last seen being dropped off at his Southwest Philadelphia elementary school on Tuesday morning has been found unharmed.

According to authorities, Muhammad Sakho was found Wednesday in Upper Chichester. Pennsylvania State Police had issued a Missing Endangered Person Advisory for him Tuesday night, after he was last seen that morning at Penrose Elementary School, located on 77th Street near Buist Avenue.

Police said Sakho’s dad dropped him off around 8 a.m. for breakfast before class, and the fourth grader was seen on video walking into the cafeteria.

Just before 8:30, they said he walked out of the school. About 30 hours later, he was found outside in Upper Chichester by officers who were on the lookout.

Authorities took the child to get checked out at the hospital.

Sakho's family said the child used to live in the Upper Chichester area and moved to Southwest Philly about eight months ago.

Officials are still trying to figure out how he got to Upper Chichester — which is about 15 miles away — if he had any help and where he spent the night.
