PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have made more arrests in September’s overnight car meets that led to reckless activities across the city.
Most recently, Juawarn Williams, 21, of Rosedale, Maryland, was arrested at home on Thursday, Nov. 7.
David French, 21, of Northeast Philadelphia was arrested at home on Oct. 23. James Hare, 20, of Northeast Philadelphia was arrested about a mile away from his home on Oct. 25.

Police say they were arrested in connection with a car rally that began the night of Sept. 21 and continued into the morning of Sept. 22, traveling all the while throughout the city. All three are charged with causing and risking catastrophe, criminal conspiracy, fleeing a police officer, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, reckless driving, and related offenses.
Police say people in as many as 200 vehicles had gathered at 11 major intersections around the city to watch or participate in illegal street racing, drifting, and other dangerous activities.
Police have identified 50 vehicles involved in the meetups and confiscated 31 of them.

About 10 people have been arrested in connection with the meetups, including the alleged organizer, Joseph Cavanaugh, 21, of Levittown. He was charged with aggravated assault, causing and risking catastrophe, criminal mischief, criminal conspiracy, fleeing a police officer, disorderly conduct reckless driving, and related offenses.

— Alexis Boyce, 20, of Englishtown, New Jersey
— Albert Woynar, 18, of Pittsburgh
"We are going to try to lock up every person who came into our city and first, disrespected my men and women, disrespected our city and what we stand for,” said Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel. “We'll play the game. We'll do our stuff. We'll have our skirmishes, but how dare you.”
