PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police have arrested a homeless man they say shot and killed a Phoenixville man whose body was found in the Schuylkill River in February.

Roger Gosson, 61, has been charged with murder and related offenses in connection with the shooting death of Joshua Daywalt.

Shortly after 10am on Feb. 7, police say someone in East Falls reported seeing a body floating in the river near Kelly Drive and Midvale Avenue. Firefighters helped pull the body from the water, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head, and it was ruled a homicide. A few days later, officials identified the victim as Daywalt through fingerprint analysis.
