NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Pennsylvania man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Pine Hill, New Jersey, has been arrested.
Shane Hennesy, 22, of Newtown Square, was charged in February with aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, the assaults happened between December 2024 and January 2025 after the two met online.
Published reports citing a criminal complaint say Hennesy climbed through the girl’s bedroom window while her parents and siblings were asleep. It also says he stayed in the room for hours before leaving through the same window.
U.S. Marshals arrested Hennesy Friday morning in Morgantown. Officials say he will be remanded to the Berks County Jail in Pennsylvania, pending extradition to New Jersey.
